Inland airfee was only 0.10 per 20 gr. Also for mail brought from the Riau-Archipelago to Singapore, then by plane to Medan and depending on the franking onwards by boat or plane. (Poststempels Ned.-Indië 1864-1950 by P.R. Bulterman). Depending on the postage 0.20 or 0.425 the “TO MEDAN” turned into a “via MEDAN” purpose and was forwarded all the way by air to Europe. |
